Research Spotlight Webinar featuring Dr. Rachel Moran and Sarah Nguyễn

Understanding flows of misinformation and its real-life impact requires deep attention to be paid to the ways in which online (mis)information is informed by (and often takes advantage of) sociocultural histories of marginalized communities. Dr. Rachel Moran's research project with IDDP examined the flow of Vietnamese misinformation in the 2020 election, and strengthened the ability of community organizations working to counter this misinformation.

Dr. Rachel Moran is a Postdoctoral Scholar at the University of Washington's Information School.
