Anti-vaxx views could become the norm in just a decade, a new study warns.
The finding, from research published in the journal Nature on Thursday, has concerned Kiwi experts, with one describing the prospect that the majority of people could soon hold such views as "terrifying".
The study's authors, from George Washington University in the US, analysed how positive, negative and neutral opinions towards vaccines spread among 100 million Facebook users in 2019.
They identified "clusters" of people who "liked", shared or interacted with content promoted on Facebook pages that discussed vaccines and analysed the content to decided whether the group was for, against, or undecided on the safety of and need for vaccines.
