This cluster, led by Matthew Hindman, conducts research on specific cases of pernicious content. The cluster works at a faster pace than is typical in academia, offering rich analyses for, and often partnering directly with journalists to produce high-impact news articles in outlets such as The New York Times and Washington Post. Researchers in this cluster are currently working on a number of investigations of coordinated inauthentic online campaigns related to COVID-19 as well as Election 2020.
